
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) released their official training and guidance letter, announcing its intention to provide a priority of service in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult program, and detailing how the Department expects the states to implement the priority requirement. The DOL will coordinate with the states to strengthen policies and procedures that enhance workforce development services (at state and local levels) to the recipients of public assistance, low-income individuals, and individuals who are deficient in basic skills.
